Spam Filters

Section: Marketing & Communication
URL: /admin/spam_filters

Overview

Define rules that automatically filter inbound emails or leads as spam.

Business value

Rules that automatically filter inbound emails or leads as spam — protects sales and support inboxes from junk that wastes time.

  • Who uses it: Marketing, IT admin, support
  • Key benefit: Reps spend time on real prospects, not deleting spam.

Typical use cases:

  • Block a known spam domain at the platform level
  • Auto-route bot-fill leads to a review queue

Accessing this module

From the admin sidebar, navigate to Spam Filters, or open the URL directly:

/admin/spam_filters

Common actions

  1. View existing records — open Spam Filters from the sidebar to see the list view.
  2. Search and filter — use the search box and column filters to find records.
  3. Create a new record — click the Add / New button (or follow the "Create" URL above) and fill in the required fields.
  4. Edit a record — click a row to open the detail view, then use the edit action.
  5. Delete a record — use the row's delete action; deletion may be soft or hard depending on the module.
  6. Bulk operations — select multiple rows via the checkboxes and apply a bulk action from the toolbar (export, delete, status change, etc., where supported).
Tip

Add known spam domains and bot-fill patterns as filters before going live with web forms — this prevents fake leads from polluting the pipeline before reps even start working it, protecting their time and keeping data quality high.

Note

Spam filter rules run at the point of inbound lead or email creation — records already in the CRM are not retroactively filtered. Run a separate cleanup if historical spam has already entered the system before the filters were configured.
