Overview
Product Image AI generates new product images using generative AI (OpenAI DALL·E or Google Gemini). Given an existing product image and a custom prompt, the AI creates variations — different backgrounds, angles, styling — that can be accepted and used in the CRM catalogue or exported for marketing.

Creates professional product imagery at a fraction of the cost of a photoshoot. Marketing and e-commerce teams generate variations for different channels (white background for marketplace listings, lifestyle shot for social) in minutes.

Common actions
- Configure AI provider — add your OpenAI or Google Gemini API key at
/admin/product_image_ai/settings. - Select a product image — choose an existing product catalogue image as the source.
- Write a generation prompt — describe the desired output (e.g. "white background, studio lighting, shadows removed").
- Choose a prompt template — select from saved prompt templates for common scenarios (marketplace listing, lifestyle, seasonal).
- Generate images — submit to the AI provider and review the generated options.
- Accept an image — approve a generated image to add it to the product record.
- Manage prompt templates — save and reuse prompts that produce consistent, on-brand results.
Save prompt templates for common scenarios (white background, lifestyle shot, seasonal) — reusing a calibrated prompt produces consistent results and saves setup time when generating images for each new product batch.
Each image generation is billed to your OpenAI or Google Gemini account. Test a prompt with one or two images before batch-generating for a full product catalog to avoid unexpected API costs from prompts that don't produce usable results.
