At a glance
Accessing this module
From the admin sidebar, navigate to Utilities, or open the URL directly:
/admin/utilities
List view
The list view shows existing utilities records. Use it to search, filter, sort, and bulk-act on items.
Common actions
- View existing records — open Utilities from the sidebar to see the list view.
- Search and filter — use the search box and column filters to find records.
- Create a new record — click the Add / New button (or follow the "Create" URL above) and fill in the required fields.
- Edit a record — click a row to open the detail view, then use the edit action.
- Delete a record — use the row's delete action; deletion may be soft or hard depending on the module.
- Bulk operations — select multiple rows via the checkboxes and apply a bulk action from the toolbar (export, delete, status change, etc., where supported).
Activity Log
URL:
/admin/utilities/activity_log
The activity log records every significant action performed by staff members — logins, record creates/edits/deletes, status changes, and bulk operations — with a timestamp and the acting user's identity. Use it for security auditing, compliance review, and diagnosing unexpected data changes.
Key actions:
- Browse the log — navigate to
/admin/utilities/activity_log; entries are displayed newest-first. - Filter by user — narrow to a specific staff member to review their recent actions.
- Filter by date range — isolate activity from a particular shift, day, or incident window.
- Export — download the filtered log to CSV for offline analysis or regulatory reporting.
Bulk PDF Exporter
URL:
/admin/utilities/bulk_pdf_exporter
The bulk PDF exporter generates PDF files for multiple documents at once — invoices, quotes, contracts, proformas — and packages them into a single downloadable archive. This saves hours of manual one-by-one exporting for month-end statements, audit packs, or customer document bundles.
Key actions:
- Select document type — choose which module's records to export (e.g. Invoices, Proformas, Purchase Orders).
- Apply filters — narrow by date range, status, client, or vendor before generating.
- Generate and download — click Export; the system queues PDF rendering and provides a ZIP download link when ready.
- Schedule for later — large batches may take a few minutes; the page shows progress and notifies on completion.
Pipe Log
URL:
/admin/utilities/pipe_log
The pipe log records the raw email messages received and processed by CRMConnect's email-to-ticket (pipe) integration. Each entry shows the sender, subject, timestamp, and whether the email was matched to an existing record or created a new one. Use it to diagnose failed imports, bounce handling, and spam-filter false positives.
Key actions:
- Browse incoming pipe entries — navigate to
/admin/utilities/pipe_logfor a chronological list of all piped emails. - Inspect a failed entry — click a row to see the full raw email headers and body alongside the error reason.
- Filter by status — isolate entries that failed to process (e.g. "unmatched sender", "parse error") to identify systemic issues.
- Re-process — if the underlying configuration issue is fixed, use the re-process action to retry the import without asking the sender to resend.
